It is with great sadness that we let you know that our Publisher John Ziller passed away peacefully at home at the age of 75. John is and was the heart and soul of Scene In SA magazine which entered its 25th year this year. John created a concept, a vision, and little did he realize he would set the stage for others alike.

He leaves behind a wonderful legacy, friends, and family. To know John Ziller was an honor and to work for him was a privilege; he was a father figure to many as well as a friend to many in this community! A man of knowledge and compassion.  He was the mastermind behind the masterpiece that people read today!

In the words of George Elliot, “Our dead are never dead to us until we have forgotten them.” So as we remember John Ziller and all that he has accomplished and brought to the San Antonio community, his family and staff will continue his legacy and honor him and the work that he put his heart and soul into by maintaining Scene In SA magazine; he will not be forgotten.

Viewing and services have not been finalized. We ask that you keep his wife Laura, and his son William in your prayers and your thoughts, and hold them dear to your heart as well as his staff and friends that will miss dearly.

Please call me if you have any questions.
